Due to having NO CASH this holiday season, I am forced to get creative. Now, I am not crafty. I used to do a lot of visual art, like painting and drawing, but I could never seem to get my fumbling fingers around cute little craft projects. For gifts this year I plan on doing a lot of baking, but that still didn't cover the cards dilemma. So I dug out my trusty old lunch box filled with buttons, scrap paper and other odds and ends, rifled through the Martha Stewart archives for ideas and came up with these three Christmas cards.

They probably look like a child made them, but they're going to family who have to pretend like they've personally received masterpieces in the mail. Christmas is good like that. If you're interested in making your own gifts this season, be sure to check out the Handmade Pledge button at the right. I may emerge from this Christmas with my hands glue gunned together and twine in my hair, but I'll save money, dammit!

I love them! They are beautiful.
Aw, thanks Jenn!
Those are soo cool looking! I wish I were that artsy.
Thanks, Akirah! Really, I owe it to Martha for the tree ideas (roughly). Also, I finally found a use for my unexplainable button collection!
